How Iron armor works with trims
Use iron when you want practical survival armor that still looks like a believable uniform. It suits explorers, guards, miners, and early server factions.
Copper, lapis, redstone, emerald, and amethyst all separate well from iron. Quartz and iron trim are intentionally quiet and better for polished ceremonial armor.
Iron is cheap to repair, easy to replace, and available before diamond. It is the safest base for experimenting with templates before committing rare trims to netherite.
