Silence
The Silence smithing template is the most prized trim in the game — its pattern echoes the Warden's silhouette and the Deep Dark biome's sculk veins. Wearing a full Silence set is the Minecraft equivalent of a status flex.
It drops from Ancient City chests at a brutal 1.25% per chest. Ancient Cities generate in the Deep Dark, usually beneath mountainous terrain; they are not restricted to cold biomes. The median is 56 chests, and 184 covers nine players in ten.
The combo nobody can argue with: Netherite + Amethyst ("Void Royal") — purple shimmer on pitch-black armor. Also stunning with Diamond + Quartz for ghostly white-on-blue, or Iron + Lapis for a Warden-esque deep blue.
Armor trims are cosmetic only — no change to stats, durability or enchantments.

Silence is the rarest trim in Minecraft at 1.25% per chest, and it comes only from Ancient City chests in the Deep Dark. Ancient Cities usually generate below mountainous terrain; they are not restricted to cold biomes.
A city holds multiple chests across its wings, but 56 chests is the median and 184 covers nine players in ten. Realistically that is several full cities, so duplicate the first template rather than farming four originals.
Route tip Wool is the whole strategy. Sculk sensors trigger on vibration, and a wool floor absorbs it — lay wool as you move and the Warden never spawns. Never sprint, never break a sculk shrieker, and carry a bucket of milk for Darkness. If a Warden does surface, pillar straight up: it cannot follow and loses interest.
