Spire
The Spire smithing template traces a vertical line up the chest and helmet, with finer spires fanning out at the shoulders. Visually it echoes the chorus-fruit trees and purpur architecture of the End — very vertical, very alien.
Drops from End City chests at a generous 33.3% — the highest among End trims. Reach the End, defeat the dragon, find the End Gateway, and explore the outer islands. End Cities cluster in patches; two or three cities of looting will almost always surface a Spire copy alongside the iconic shulker boxes.
Best paired with Netherite + Gold ("Sun Spire"), Diamond + Amethyst for an End-themed purple highlight, or Iron + Quartz for clean white spires.
Armor trims are cosmetic only — no change to stats, durability or enchantments.

×2How to get the Spire trim
Spire has the highest drop rate of any trim at 33.3%, from End City chests. End Cities generate on the outer End islands, reachable through an End Gateway after the dragon is down, and each city stacks several chests up its towers.
Two chests is the median. In practice the first End City you properly loot hands you a Spire, which makes it the natural companion trim to an elytra run rather than a target of its own.
Route tip Take the gateway, then fly or bridge east — cities cluster in patches, so finding one usually means finding three. Shulkers hit hard and their levitation is what kills people, not the damage: fight them from below or behind cover, and keep a water bucket for the landing.
