Tide
The Tide smithing template uses a flowing diagonal wave pattern reminiscent of stylised currents. It is the only trim earned by killing a specific mob — the rest live in chests, Vaults or suspicious gravel.
Drops at 20% per Elder Guardian kill. Ocean Monuments contain three Elder Guardians, so one complete monument gives three independent attempts. Four kills is the median and 11 covers nine players in ten: roughly two monuments for the median, four for 90% coverage.
Pairs perfectly with Diamond + Lapis ("Tide Walker") for an aquatic look, Netherite + Amethyst for moody deep-sea, or Iron + Quartz for ghost-of-the-deep contrast.
Armor trims are cosmetic only — no change to stats, durability or enchantments.

Tide is the only trim dropped by a specific mob: it comes directly from Elder Guardians at 20% per kill.
Every Ocean Monument contains exactly three Elder Guardians. Four kills is the median and 11 covers nine players in ten, which translates to roughly two monuments for the median and four monuments for 90% coverage. Elder Guardians do not respawn.
Route tip Mining Fatigue is the real obstacle, not the damage. Drink milk immediately after each Elder Guardian spots you, or the effect stops you breaking blocks for five minutes. Bring Water Breathing, Night Vision, and Depth Strider or a conduit; Aqua Affinity on the helmet matters more than raw armor here.

On Bedrock, use a smithing table — the /give command for trims is limited. After running:
