Snout
The Snout smithing template uses a stylised piglin snout / boar-head motif on the chestplate, with smaller versions on helmet and leggings. It's the trim most associated with piglin culture — wear it into a bastion and the piglins (apparently) treat you with slightly more respect.
Drops from bastion remnant chests at 16.7% per chest. Bastions have multiple chest rooms (treasure, generic, Hoglin stables, bridge); each chest rolls independently, so a thorough sweep of one bastion usually gets you a copy. Wear gold armor to avoid aggro from the piglins along the way.
Pairs spectacularly with Netherite + Resin (1.21.4+ "Resin Snout"), Gold + Gold for full piglin king energy, or Diamond + Copper for a hunting-trophy aesthetic.
Armor trims are cosmetic only — no change to stats, durability or enchantments.

×2How to get the Snout trim
Snout is in bastion remnant chests at 16.7%. Bastions come in four layouts — treasure room, housing units, hoglin stables and the bridge — and every one of them contains multiple chests that each roll independently.
The treasure-room variant is the prize: its gold-block-lined chests sit behind a magma-cube-guarded corridor and give the densest cluster of rolls in the game for this template. Four chests is the median, and a single good bastion can carry you past it.
Route tip Wear at least one piece of gold armor. Piglins ignore a golden-armored player entirely, which turns a bastion from a running fight into a looting trip — but opening a chest in front of them aggros the room regardless, so break line of sight or pillar up before you loot.
